A second article I reviewed described the appearance of informal roles in eSports teams, relating these to the different forms of communication between teammates (Drenthe, 2017). These roles ranged from the most positive, Informal Leader Verbal, to the most negative, Cancer. The article concluded by stating that it was to analyze the transcripts of an eSports Team and determine the informal roles within.
Because of the current state of my research I think that to possible outcomes could come of it. The first one is the definition of a framework to design eSports presented in a manner resembling Schell’s lenses (2015). The second one is a comprehensive description of all the elements present on eSports, from the business and marketing side, to the technical, design and experiential aspects, resulting in an Anatomy of the eSport Experience.
