I have been silent for a while and that is because I have been hard at work. I graduated from my Masters (salutatorian) a couple of months ago and I have been quite busy since. The video headlining this post is a teaser for a game a pitched while still in school. The idea behind it was to make and 80's themed fighting game heavily influenced by American Martial Arts movies of the late 80's and early 90's. Originally, the game was meant to shorter in scope and comedic/parody in tone, and then things changed. Thanks to my mentor in my capstone the project was picked up by Rebl Hq, Full Sail's youtube channel, and soon after Full Sail's marketing department. The game was to be used in a series of web episodes on game development. Because of this, our production values increased, including the use professional motion capture, making this a professional game.

It would be an understatement to say that this project has been a challenge. every day I learned new things, about game design, development and production. I made mistakes early on and have learned from them, after a few bumps in production the game is on track and the best news is, it's going to be showcased in RTX later this year in Austin,TX.

When things settle down I will write a postmortem on this project.
